And open a new chapter of success and responsibility!!
Modak is a sweet delicacy that is prepared during the Ganesha festival and offered to Lord Ganesha as Prasad.
On this auspicious day, I shared my kesar Rava Modaks.
Kesar Rava Modak is simple and easy to prepare and everyone loves it.
Let’s welcome Lord Ganesha with mouth-watering modaks!!

Ingredients:
4 tbsp ghee
1 cup sooji
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
2 cups milk and 2 tbsp fresh cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
Few Kesar strands soaked in 2 tbsp hot milk
1/4 cup Almonds and cashew nuts, coarsely crushed

Instructions:
Place a pan over medium flame and ghee.
Once the ghee becomes hot, add sooji and roast for 4-5 minutes till it becomes aromatic.
Now add desiccated coconut and roast it with sooji till it changes its slight colour.
Now add milk and Kesar milk and keep stirring it continuously till it becomes slightly thick.
Further add sugar, cardamom powder, and dry fruits and mix till well combined.
While stirring it continuously, cook for another 3-4 minutes or until the sugar melts completely and the milk is completely absorbed by sooji/rava.
Once cooked, the mixture will stop sticking from the sides of the pan and will form into a ball-like structure.
Now transfer the mixture to a plate and let it cool down for 4-5 minutes.
After the suji mixture has cooled down a bit take a modak mould and put some mixture inside it, press it inside with the help of your finger and remove the excess mixture from the sides and gently open the mould. Now while pressing the bottom of the modak, remove it from the mould.
These modaks can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Enjoy!!
